Love Us and Leave Us, owned 100% by Renee Dodds, opened in 2006, originally operating as a sole proprietorship, as a boarding facility specializing in quality short and long term care for dogs. Services provided are half and full day daycare, dog spa, hikes and overnights. Love Us and Leave Us is marketed as a safe and fun place for dogs to be while their owners are at work or on vacation.

All staff goes through a pet first aid certification training program and receives hands on training beginning with their first shift.  Regular meetings are held in which appropriate dog handling methods are discussed and training is provided. Mrs. Dodds is committed to learning and improving the current facility as well as promoting staff development. Staff is provided with opportunities to move up within the company and they look for ways in which the staff can grow with the company as it expands.

Ms. Dodds grew her business by purchasing her first location at 1525 West Housatonic Street, Pittsfield, MA in 2018 utilizing the SBA 504 program with Granite State Development Corporation. Also, in 2018 they won best pet boarding in “Best of the Berkshires”.

The growth of Love Us and Leave led to the acquisition of their 2^nd location at 915 Pleasant Street, Lee MA in 2021 which also allowed them to expand their market and once again utilized the SBA 504 program with Granite State Development Corporation.
